As one of the happiest countries in the world, the Scandinavian country of Denmark are very diverse. There are many religions there, some of origin some brought over with the migrants that entered. The Danish citizens are very accepting of all religions and one of the reasons many migrants choose Denmark as their country of choice for relocating and settling in Denmark be it permanently or on a temporary basis. A religious worker or missionary can enter Denmark under a permit specifically for religious workers. Requirements and criteria still need to be met. Citizens of some countries will not need a visa or will be subject to special regulations this is based on the EU rules of freedom and movements act.

If an applicant is from a country that requires a visa, requirements will need to be met. There must be documents that prove that the applicant, member of the clergy works for a recognised registered religious order or denomination and already reside in Denmark than they may be granted a residence permit. If an intended applicant wishes to work in Denmark as a missionary and preach the specific religion they may also be granted a residence permit under the religious scheme that Denmark have in place.

There are a number of conditions that must be met before an application can be submitted to the immigration system of Denmark. Documents will need to be signed to state that the applicant of joining family will not apply for benefits from the Danish government.

Declarations must also be signed which state that the applicant will not put anyone in an unsafe situation. This is because some religious groups to undertake public rallies that can be a danger to the public, this will absolutely not be permitted. An extension on the initial permit can possibly be extended, conditions will have to be met and new applications submitted. One of the requirements is that the applicant will have to take the immigration test. The test must be taken within six months of the permit being issued and of course the test must be passed. The test will cover both Danish language skills and the applicants knowledge of danish society and Denmark.
