Denmark Green card system: What do I need to know

Denmark Green card Visa
If you wish to live and work in a beautiful EU member country you could look at immigration into Denmark. Denmark is one of the happiest places in the world, and with its well-developed economy and beautiful scenery, it is not difficult to see why Denmark is an ideal choice when you are thinking of immigrating to Europe.

Denmark work on a Green card, which is assessed on a points, based system. This assesses the applicant on their basis of skills and employable attributes such as age, education, experience and skills. This assesses the possibility of them gaining employment within Denmark and bonus points are available for certain criteria, such as university qualifications, an in-demand set of a work skills (as published on Denmark's positive skills list) and the outcome of this assessment should show whether the applicant can be granted a temporary residence visa. This can be permitted for spouses and children also in some cases.

With regards to your educational qualifications, it is important to understand that the level of education differs in different countries and in Denmark, they will assess on degree equivalent criteria. For example, an Indian establishments degree may not have be the same level as a Danish one, according to the Danish Government.

The Danish Government also holds a very high regard for language ability and there are tests to determine what level of language you have. These can earn from 5-20 points on the Danish immigration system.

Another place when you could earn points for your visa is via work experience. A total of 15 points are availed for relevant work experience and if your skills are on the Positive list then in demand in Denmark, then you could earn these points to add to your total.

Points are also granted for the age of the applicant. Denmark prefers younger immigrants, and those of working age, so therefore if you are 34 years of age, or any younger, then you could qualify for 15 points and those aged 34-40 are entitled to 10 points extra.

If you have any questions or queries about whether your skills are on the positive list or whether you would be able to get a Green card in Denmark, then morevisas can help you. Contact one of our representatives and we will be happy to speak with you.
