Quality of Life Index: Where Should You Emigrate?

Australia Immigration
Melbourne was recently voted the world's #1 place to live, with an incredible score of 97.5 out of 100, and a record-breaking third year in a row at the top of the list. Vienna and Vancouver were beaten into second and third place, respectively, offering a real sense of variety when it comes to choosing somewhere to live that is considered to be the best.

Australia had a number of cities in the top ten, including Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, cementing its status as one of the world's best places to live, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's liveability survey. It is lucky, then, that the visa options for those looking to head Down Under are varied and extensive. Though mainly popular with students and young people, there are also a number of visa options that offer people a chance to partake in the excellent Aussie lifestyle. Skilled worker immigration is a very popular immigration type here; useful for the economy of Australia and offering people the chance to seek a better quality of life as a reward for their achievement of a skill or trade. Visas can also be sought for business people, investors, tourists and many more.

Canada also featured highly in the top ten of the list, with Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary all managing to squeeze into the top five. Quebec, Ontario, Newfoundland and Alberta are all provinces in Canada which have proven highly popular with immigrants, and the whole country is highly immigration-friendly, welcoming skilled workers, students, tourists, business people, spouses of candidates and any more into the country.

Vienna, Austria, was a surprising entry into the top three of the list, coming in at number two. There are a plethora of visas available for those looking to move to the quaint European city, including the Red-White-Red Card which has been introduced to create a flexible and reliable migration process. A points-based classification system, applications must achieve 70 points out of 100 in order to be granted this visa, and they are assessed on various different criteria, including language capabilities, work experience, offer of employment within the country, and any qualifications. Red-White-Red Card holders can also apply for a card for their spouse, to allow them to search for work in the country, perfect for people who want to move to the country and start a new life.
